Cut&Paste digital design tournament to be held in Liverpool
LIVERPOOL has been chosen as the venue for a live design tournament which will take place during Design Show Liverpool.
The Cut&Paste digital design tournament will bring together the region's emerging graphic designers who will compete head-to-head and against the clock in a series of design challenges.
The designers' work will be projected around the venue allowing the audience to see every keystroke of the creative process. The audience and a panel of judges will vote for the best designs.
Jess Tyrrell, director of event producers Germination, said: "As one of the UK's brightest creative hubs, Liverpool is the perfect host for Cut&Paste.
"This is a unique opportunity for the city to come together and celebrate great design through an exciting live event."
The June 22 event will be preceded by Cut&Paste workshops which will give design tips to visitors.
Originating in New York City in 2005, Cut&Paste last year visited 11 cities across the world, drawing crowds in excess of 1,000. Liverpool is the third European city to host the tournament.
