VIDEO games commissioning project Get In The Game is coming to Liverpool to offer companies the chance to pitch their new ideas direct to Sony.
The project, produced by videogames consultancy Pixel-Lab and Northwest Vision and Media in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), launches on Tuesday, September 1, with an open invitation drinks reception at FACT in Liverpool.

This will be followed by an intensive two-day pitching and concepts workshop which offers companies the chance to pitch their ideas.
Successful companies will win a £10,000 grant, executive production and mentoring and the opportunity to pitch ideas to Sony's XDev Studio Europe.
A previous Get In The Game event, which finished earlier this year, saw five companies each receive £10,000 project development commissions
Enda Carey, head of games and digital content at Northwest Vision and Media, pictured, said: "We were delighted with the response to the first Get in the Game project and encouraged by the quality of content that came through.
"We hope to be able to extend the scheme this year to offer more companies in the region the opportunity to get involved with game development."
Toby Barnes, managing director of Get In The Game producers Pixel-Lab, said, "We were really pleased with the final quality of the pitches last year. The teams had made huge leaps in terms of understanding the commissioning process, their audiences, and what was expected of them. We are really looking forward to this year's new entrants and are expecting the bar to be even higher."
Speaking about last year's Get In The Game Phil Gaskell, senior producer at XDev Studio Europe, said: "It was reassuring to see a commitment of public funding like this from Northwest Vision and Media and it's clearly helped the teams involved strengthen their skills in many areas. I'm confident we'll be taking some of the ideas generated through this initiative to market."
