Rippleffect creates new look for Leeds
DIGITAL agency Rippleffect has created a showcase tourism website for Leeds.
The Liverpool company, owned by Daily Post parent Trinity Mirror, developed the site for Visit Leeds as a one-stop guide for national and international visitors to the Yorkshire city.
It includes podcasts and video clips, and will feature a monthly competition challenging users to become the 'voice of the city' by producing a short films about Leeds.
Andrew Binns, senior business development manager at Rippleffect, said: "A key part of our brief was to ensure the website design reflected a cosmopolitan city, was easy to use, engaging and encouraged user interaction."
Amanda Bond at Visit Leeds said: "A key objective was to inspire and convert potential leisure visitors to the city through a digitally-rich, interactive and engaging website with content that is focused and easily accessible for any type of visitor.
"This is a major development for us in terms of being able to demonstrate an increase in economic benefit to the city and its partners. It truly reflects the essence of a contemporary city and all that's on offer here."
