Northern Lights to help brightest new talent into the industry
YOUNG people who want to break into the multi-media sector are being urged to apply for a new production course that could help them find jobs in the industry.
The four-week Northern Lights course will run for four weeks in November and aims to find the industry's new rising stars.
Sixteen successful applicants will work with industry partners - including Liverpool agencies Mando and Milky Tea and the BBC - to learn the skills they need to work in the gaming, digital or broadcast industries.
The course, funded by support agency Northwest Vision and Media, will be run by Moira Keen and Andrew Thomas. Mr Thomas said: "Multi-platform is today's media buzzword - computer games spawn feature films, TV programmes launch music careers and social networks form the new hubs for boutique video content.
"Northern Lights is aimed at helping develop talented individuals to thrive in such environments."
The closing date for applications is Friday, September 25. To apply online, click here.
