A busy week for Liverpool's creative and digital sector
MERSEYSIDE'S creative and digital industries have had a busy week with a series of major events.
Liverpool Design Festival, which continues this weekend, is a celebration of the creative talent in the city. This week's events included Liverpool Design Symposium.
Meanwhile, the BT Convention Centre yesterday hosted both national video gaming conference Develop - the first time it has been held in the North - and Liverpool Software City.

And here's my report on Liverpool Software City:
HI-TECH firms from around the world descended on Liverpool for a showcase of top technological talent from Merseyside and beyond.
Liverpool Software City, held at the BT Convention Centre yesterday, saw technology firms from as far afield as the USA and Sweden present their ideas to panels of judges.
One of the judges was multi-millionaire former Dragons' Den investor Richard Farleigh, who also gave a speech to delegates.
Among the companies that showcased their wares yesterday were Liverpool-based Little World Gifts and Ellesmere Port-based Connected Thought, both of which specialise in software for mobile phones.
The prize for best presentation, voted for by delegates, went to California firm Visuvi.
Plus, Liverpool Sound City's new sister event Dubai Sound City has been taking the Middle East by storm. For more, see Peter Guy's Get Into This and the live blog on Jade Wright's music blog.
