New PR agency launches in Southport
A NEW communications consultancy is offering a free PR consultation to North West companies.
Southport-based former journalist Paul Smith is making the offer to the first 10 firms that contact his company - Paul P. Smith Communications.
Mr Smith has worked in PR and marketing for 20 years, winning awards for his work.
He has provided PR and marketing support to a wide range of high-profile organisations including Downing Street, the Royal Household, the UK's armed forces and a university.
He said: "Some companies and organisations make the mistake of halting their marketing activity during an economic downturn when all the evidence of recent research shows that they are more likely to survive if they continue to invest in this area."
Most recently Paul was Head of PR & Alumni at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk.
He added: "I have enjoyed a highly varied and rewarding career to date, building up an extensive array of experience and skills working for some big name organisations. But setting up a PR consultancy has been a long-held ambition and it is fantastic to finally take this step."
