Mills Media joins fight against mouth cancer
BIRKENHEAD-based production company Mills Media has completed its third promotional film and DVD package for the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network (MCCN).
Wirral-based Mills Media was commissioned by MCCN and Aintree University Hospital to create the DVD to raise awareness of mouth and oral cancer.
The five minute feature features interviews with mouth and oral cancer patients, showing how they had reported the symptoms early enough to receive successful treatment.
The Mills Media team also filmed an operation carried out by Aintree's world-leading head and neck cancer consultant Professor Simon Rogers.
Barrie Farrell, head of production at Mills Media, said: "With a brief like this it is vital that the message hits home with the target audience. The film captures the key message about early detection of mouth and oral cancer and the critical lifesaving work undertaken by MCCN and Aintree University Hospital."
Tracie Keats, of MCCN, said: "Mills Media has done a terrific job with the film.
"The DVD is now being distributed to GPs and dentists across the Sefton region and will make people aware of the symptoms of mouth cancer far earlier which is vital for successful treatment."
